A day in the life of a recovering gymnast-No Pain No Gain

As I told you before, I was released from the doctor for gymnastics. Well today I took advantage of that, and I asked my coach, “Can I do straps?” (straps is place in the bar area where you are strapped to the bar so there is no possible way for you to fall.) he surprisingly said, “Sure.” I was convinced he would say “No, you’re not strong enough.” Even before I asked him,  I asked my friend Bettie if she thought he would say yes. She told me the worst he could say is no. But then I thought to myself “Well, I guess it is.” Then when I went to straps I got on the bar and my wrists started to burn, and when I looked at them they were completely raw. Then I doubled up my wrist bands and they were still burning 🥵. I didn’t remember straps being so terrible, cause usually when you go to straps it is because your hands are raw. I told Bettie and she said, ” No pain no gain” and then Mya came over and asked what happened so I told my wrists are raw and she said, “No pain no gain”. I told her ” Stop it!” Then I told her when I was done with straps, “Clearly I gained”.
